Leipzig Zoo - Sloth Bears and Rhesus Macaques

Cave Window

There are two windows from the cave into the enclosures. Both have harp wire as barriers. Originally, it was thought that no bears would come close to the windows, so a railing was not necessary. When the bears discovered how to get under the waterfall, however, wooden rails were added to keep visitors at a safe distance.
