Visitors leave the Great Apes Gallery through a glass-sided tunnel-The Gorilla Encounter-which features an artificial fallen tree (upper left) as a gorilla crossing point. With gorillas watching people watching gorillas, this area has proven to be a highlight for visitors and residents alike.
